  1. Complete In Christ

For years I struggled with insecurity until I discovered who I was in Christ. Some people give false opinions and keep you in bondage. Also, we love our husbands but they will never take the place of our Lord and Savior, He is the only one that can give us joy because happiness is temporary, but joy will last forever and only Jesus can give us joy. Thank you for posting I enjoyed reading it.

  4. The Joy of the Lord is your Strength

Praise the Lord people God, What an awesome time we had at church yesterday, my husband taught on JOY. Have you lost your Joy? The Bible teaches us the Joy of the Lord is our Strength. If you have no strength you have no Joy. The Bible also teaches we can leap for Joy. Start praising God and leaping for Joy and your strength will return. God wants His people to be filled to the brim with His Joy. Did you know happiness and Joy are two separate emotions? For example, Joy is everlasting and happiness is temporal. Joy is what sustains you when trouble is all around you. If you had a relationship with Joy and Happiness I wonder who would be faithful Joy or Happiness? Happiness would stay as long as everything is going good, but once things turn for the worst happiness will flee. That is why it is so important to get the Joy of the Lord because it is your enduring power. It will stay with you forever.

I agree with you, forums give you the ability to connected with the members and learn on a more personal level if you know what I mean. I use FB and Twitter to chat with friends, advertise a business or promote my books. Do you have any other suggestions for advertising books for new authors? Is there a hot spot to go besides FB and Twitter? Thanks
  12. September 9, 2017 Today, I woke up thinking about how precious volunteers are to our local communities and surrounding areas. I would like to encourage them to continue to serve with a heart of gladness, your labor will not go unnoticed. God has graced you with the ability to be a volunteer and you need to know how important you are to this ministry. There is nothing like a devastation when tragedy strikes a home. Who will be the heroes to lay down their lives to save another? There are all types of volunteering programs, today I would like to focus on the foodservice industry. You may serve food at your local shelter, church or any organization that serves food to the needy. My point is that when you become a volunteer and offer your service you need to make sure you have a kind heart, longsuffering, patience and show plenty of love. Without these qualities, you defeat the purpose of being a volunteer.Your church may have special programs where food will be served and this would be a great time to show your gifts and talents to the body of Christ. One vital point I want to make never serve others with a SELFISH ATTITUDE. God loves a cheerful giver, and I do not mean giving money only, be cheerful in your service to others. Whatever you do, always do it, as unto the Lord, and you will be blessed. Dorothy Henry
  13. Self-worth Versus Self- Esteem

Self-Esteem vs. Self-Worth Dr. Christiana Hilbbert wrote an article about self-esteem and self-worth. Self-esteem is what we think and feel and believe about ourselves. Self-worth is recognizing “I am greater than all of those things”. It is a deep knowing that I am of value, that I am loveable, necessary to this life, and of incomprehensible worth. It is possible to feel “high self-esteem,” or in other words, to think I’m good at something, yet still not feel convinced that I am loveable and worthy. Self-esteem doesn’t last or “work” without self-worth. Dr. Hilbbert quoted “For years, I have noticed that almost everyone who walks through my private practice door is really dealing with the same core issue: poor “self-esteem”. Whether struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues, parenting challenges, or even life stress, when we get to the core of the issue, it almost always has to do with some false feeling or belief about oneself.” How do we tackle these strongholds from a biblical perspective? I can remember for years I struggle like the patients who came through Dr. Hilbbert office and my life reminded me of a roller-coaster. However, with God’s help, you can overcome the chains of bondage that Satan has placed over your life. The first key is to change your thinking habits, one of my favorite scriptures in Philippians 4:8, Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. What does the word virtue mean? Merriam Webster dictionary had six different meanings and one of my favorites was number three manly strength or courage. Learn to fill your mind with positive thoughts, pure thoughts, lovely thoughts and meditate on them day and night. The more you listen to negative thoughts the more your soul will drop into despair. I will continue our talk next week and give you some important keys on how to be free and how to stay free. Remember Jesus loves you.
