    Reach Out Without Prejudice

After an evening class at the Bible School, a man I will call Mr. B helped me with a drive to the nearest bustop, along the way we met a security man who looked haggard and from his facial expression he wanted a tip because he looked hungry. However Mr. B was irritated and after the security man had opened the toll gate for us, Mr. B drove off without giving him a penny. As we drove along, Mr B began to give me a long sermon on various reasons against giving. After talking for about 20 minutes he asked me, what do you think? And the Holy Spirit began to give me insight. I said; first of all, the bible said God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son even when we were not deserving (John 3:16). In the book of Mat 14:13- 21, when Jesus fed the multitude, these multitude may have comprised of those who came to hear Jesus, those who were just passerby's and some may have been Jewish spies sent to pick the Lord's words and used it against Him but the Bible shows us that regardless of all these components Jesus had compassion on the people and fed the people without discrimination. Children of God, if Christ is our role model then we should be willing to give others, rich or poor without prejudice. Thank you Holy Spirit. Shalom!!!

Prayer Is Not A Magic Ward

At the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed three times for the cup to pass but it did not (Matthew 26:36-56). Prayer sometimes is not a magic ward, answers do not always come immediately. Prayer is a communion with your Maker - God, sometimes He answers immediately, sometimes He strengthens you for the task ahead and sometimes He gives you clues to solve the puzzle. Lord Jesus, while on earth was courageous and intelligent, he never lacked the right words to say but howbeit that during his time of tribulation, he did not defend himself and spoke little or no words. I believe after he uttered these words of prayer; 'Lord not my will but yours' -God began to prepare Him for the task ahead. In 2 Corinthians 12:8-10; Apostle Paul prayed three times for God to remove the thorn but God responded my grace is sufficient for you. Prayer is not always a means to receive from God but also the grace to be equipped for challenges ahead. When you pray, the Lord strengthens you. Permit me to say that God's major goal is not to provide you with stuffs like, houses, cars, children and so on, thats' already your heritage package in Christ Jesus. Therefore His primary goal is to conform us to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29). Mary Magdalene did not go to the Lord's tomb because she wants a brand new car, a 4 bedroom apartment, a child, a new job or to prove His resurrection. The Bible said she went with oil (Mark 16:1), in order words she went to anoint and to worship. And the Lord revealed himself to her (John 20:11-18). One of the misunderstanding we have in the Body of Christ is, many go to the Lord to get from Him.. We live in a 'GIVE ME, GIVE ME GENERATION' but it is written God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth(John 4:24). Power is a part of God, healing is a part of God, wealth is a part of God, but when you seek the Lord, you get all of Him. Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Paul and Salias where not rescued because they lamented their grief to God, they were rescued because they praised God in the storm. When you esteem God above your circumstances miracles occur because you are not being conformed to this world: but be rather transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). Thank you Holy Spirit. Shalom!!!

Why Love Is Greater Than Faith And Hope?

"And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love". - 1 Corinthians 13:13. ANSWER: God does not need to have FAITH, He is omnipotent, He has all the power to complete His purpose(Job 42:2). But man needs to have faith in God to achieve the impossible. God does not need to have HOPE. He is omnipresent, He is not anticipating for anything because His presence is continuous throughout all of creation (Psalm 46:1). But man cannot be everywhere at the same time. And needs God to attain greater heights. One of the major attributes God can share with Man is LOVE. God is love and whoever does not love does not know God (1 John 4:8). Thank you Holy Spirit.

Whose Hands Can Labour For Abundance?

The Israelite were thirsty so the Lord told Moses to speak to the rock but he struck the rock twice, although water gushed out, the Lord said; "because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelite, you will not bring this community into the land I give them"(Numbers 20:11-12). Moses saw the Lord's glory. He experienced the flash and the bang of the Divine but character stopped him from going into the promise land. Those who make the Forbes list, are those with integrity. As long as you lack integrity, you will touch money but will never attain greatness. WHOSE HANDS CAN LABOUR AND RETAIN ABUNDANCE? It is commonly said that results cancel insults. So in order to prove your value to another you work hard to shine out. However, its the trick of the devil when your motivation is channeled at self approval or proving a point to people. No result can be more evidential than the one Jesus did at the cross. How can you prove success to the enemy if Christ Himself has granted you success? Apostle Paul said in Galatians 1:10;"Obviously 1'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant. He also called himself; 'a bound servant'(Romans 1:1).' Bound servant is the translation of a Greek word doulos, which means 'at the disposal of his master, a slave'. Since we are children of God, Apostle Paul in the biblical context meant total subjection to God in Christ Jesus. Metaphorically to someone absolutely devoted to Jesus. In the new testament Jesus said many will come in my name and say; 'we prophesy in your name, we performed a lot of miracles in your name but Jesus replied, I know you not, you wicked generation. Therefore, a man's accomplishment is not determined by how many real estates he has acquired or the multitude of his congregation. Even night clubs, cinema and beer palours are occupied with a large crowd of people. Am not against hard work because it is written; a lazy man should not eat but it should not be channeled to proving a point to anyone. Let your work be your passion but let the joy of the Lord be your motivation. Moses struck the rock instead of speaking to it because he was frustrated by the people. But he lost the vision when the people became his motivation not God. He was supposed to be responsible to God above man. Life is not centered on self recognition, it is centered on pleasing God. Our role model is Jesus and He can out give whatever a thief steals. Thank you Holy Spirit. Shalom!

You Cannot Become Until You Believe

The Lion is not the largest, smartest or tallest animal in the jungle but he is the king of the beast. Why are other animals afraid of this small cat because he believes he can devour any animal. The Lion's confidence can be displayed in his tremendous roar that can be heard miles across the Savannah. He is not frightened by the shouts of other animals. When the Lion sees the Elephant despite its size, he says to himself I can eat this thing. And he acts the way he thinks. Though the Elephant is bigger, larger and huger with big horns but when he sees the Lion one word comes to mind - 'eater', attitude is a product of belief. David's victory over Goliath did not come because he fought well but because he believed well. Jesus could teach the multitude without a microphone because He believed. My point is, YOU CANNOT BECOME UNTIL YOU BELIEVE.

    God Of Second Chance

Let me examine the incident in Acts 15:36 -41. Paul and Barnabas hosted a crusade and John Mark accompanied them(Acts 15:36-41). Great miracles occurred in this meeting and the disciples where pleased by the move of God but John Mark was homesick and longed to be with his mother. So he left but came back. This mummy's boy attitude irritated Paul and though Barnabas urged him to be patient, he refused and it led to their separation. However, although no Barnabas gospel can be found in the Bible, Barnabas groomed John Mark who wrote the Mark gospel and became beneficial to Paul while he was in prison. It’s good to know that if you miss an opportunity with God, He will give you another chance. A 24 Karat Gold does not lose its value when it falls into mud water, you only need to clean it. Everyone deserves a second chance.
  11. I wish I had better news but my brakes failed on my car. Was denied benefits this week. But I choose to let the Lord Jesus have his way in my heart my real desire is to better serve him with my whole heart & soul.

    Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is not only physical, it is also verbal. The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). Verbal abuses aim at destroying your self esteem and cripple your will power. Jesus was no exception to this torture, He was mocked while he was on the cross. In Matthew 27:42 people, priest and the elders mock Jesus, and shout at him while he is hanging on the cross: "He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God." But isn't it interesting, He was unresponsive and was not provoked over their accusations because the Lord did not need anyone to prove His worth. Friends, you cannot beat the enemy in his own game so do not waste your time responding to his accusations because you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9). YOUR EYES AND GOD'S EYES ARE ONE, SEE YOURSELF THE WAY HE SEES YOU. Despite all these things, overwhelming victory is mine through Christ, who loved me - Romans 8:37-39

How To Find Amazing Peace Among The Tombstones

Jesus said He has built mansions, places for us to live that are beyond our wildest dreams. And gold is something that will be so abundant in heaven that we will walk on it. Ironic, isn't it? The very things the Lord tells us not to hold tightly to down here will be part of our reward up there! I love this article and was especially touched by above words. Life is fragile and should not be wasted in chasing after things that mean nothing.

Analysis On The Temptation Of Jesus 2

Its nice to have you here again. Today, we will examine the second part of the temptation of Jesus. It can be found in Luke 4:5. WEALTH AND POWER OF THE WORLD: In Luke 4:5, the Devil took Jesus to a high mountain and showed Him all the Kingdoms of the world and he said I will give you all the power and wealth if you bow down and worship me. And Jesus replied; It is written " worship the Lord your God and serve only Him". In the book of Genesis 1:26, God said; "let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion ... over all the earth". Money is man made, what man creates is beneath him but unfortunately money controls a large majority of men. Robert Walser said; money rules the world. Does it really? Prosperity was part of man's dominion mandate but he sold it out to the devil after his obedience at the Garden of Eden. Thanks be to the Lord who purchased us back with His Blood and gave us back our heritage. "For your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9)" However, 'wealth' in this context does not imply material wealth but all round blessings. In Acts 3:6; Peter told the man born lame from his mother's womb, silver and gold I have not but what I have I give to you. Silver and gold signifies money, it is limited to only things you can buy. Christian wealth is generational and endless. Personally, I have come to discover that no matter how much you own, the only one who can satisfy the human heart is the one who created it. I have met many rich men and women who are unhappy. One of the misunderstandings among those in the Body of Christ, is many build their prayer line on a GIVE ME, GIVE ME meditation. Few persons hunger to be close to the LORD. Let me say this, when Jesus died, Mary Magdalene did not go to the tomb to get anything from the MASTER, the bible records she went with oil to anoint His body and He revealed Himself to her. Many Christians run to God when they have problems, healing is a part of God, riches is a part of God, power is a part of God but a relationship with God is all of God. If you want the full package, seek God and He will give you the whole of Him which includes, relationship, love, healing, wealth, joy and so much more. This second temptation of Jesus is a test of character. In John 12:31 the Devil is called the "ruler of this world," but he does not have outright ownership. Satan entices you with much but he will rob you of every penny. He is the father of lies (John 8:44). Jesus did not trade His love for the Father for anything the world can give. This world is temporal, let reach out for the eternal. I remember, a lady I knew way back in the University, so eager to make money and enjoy the pleasures of this world, she slept with a certain rich man, who gave her some money but spiritually tormented her day and night, even in her dreams and she lost her mind. Hear this! You can desire to build mansions and hotels round the world but if cancer hits you, what do you do with all you have acquired. Life is fragile, everything can be gained and lost in a twinkle of an eye. Do not trade you life for temporary benefits. Do not give up your life for things that mean nothing. The most precious things in life are things you cannot buy or replace. In the parable of the prodigal son, the boy was already blessed in his father's bosom but greed pushed him out of his father's protection, when he left, he did not only take the limited money with him, he lost his father's coverage, blessings, shield and prosperity, he lost everything and in the quest for survival was willing to feed pigs and eat their food. When we are not satisfied with the gifts of God, we will submit to the slavery of the devil. Here are a few Bible verses to study on greed; Hebrews 13:5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 1 Peter 1:24 For “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls. 1 John 2:15-16 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. John 12:43 For they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God. Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. Thank you Jesus. Holy Spirit my partner. Shalom!
